Despite Ibiquity choosing to name next generation terrestrial radio
after the ever so popular HDTV, it hasn't been widely accepted yet.
The initial cost of HD radio tuners has been a big reason and
Radiosophy is hoping to change that at NAB, by introducing the first
$99 HD Radio, which makes it half as much as the next cheapest model.
Like most radios today, it has a few more tricks: it's an alarm clock,
has an external antenna connection, as well as the latest must have
for any device with speakers, a line input for your MP3 player.
According to the release you have to act now to get the $99 price, as
those who wait until after July 30th will have to pay $119.99.

Questions - is it stereo or other multichannel?

Does it have an aux output for plug-in to a hi-fi system?

It's only $99 for a short while, then jumps back to $120. Just like
the Black Friday Accurian HD, this HD radio will not sell. This radio
is a $100 alarm clock that still requires external jacks for FM dipole
and AM loop antennas - consumers have not bought into the HD Radio
farce and will not bother to fool with clunky external antennas just
to pick up crappy terrestrial radio. LOL !!!

How hard is it to copy and paste a single word into a search engine? Better
yet, how hard is it to add "www." and ".com" to a single word to see if the
site exists under the companies name? Not very... Lay-Z comes to mind.

If I start a thread on HD radio then the subject will reflect it. The
subject does not have start with a word for you to filter on it. You can
filter on any word or words in the subject. For example I have filters
for curse words. If a curse word is anywhere in the subject then it is
killed.

The implementation of HD radio on AMBCB and DRM on shortwave are valid
topics as they are very disruptive technology for program listening or
DXing. People don't like the long arguments disruptive Trolls start and
I got sucked into one of those. I made the mistake of thinking Edweene
was a serious poster. I wised up late in his game.
