The two features that make me recommend
the MFJ-1020 over the MFJ-1045 are :
* Antenna OFF {Out}
* AM/MW Band Coverage

Both will do a good job as a Pre-Selector for an Out-Side
Antenna big or small; and for a new Shortwave Listener
(SWL) who is 'limited' to a small {un-seen} out-side
Antenna : The MFJ-1020 can make it sound like it is
100 Foot long.
