I agree that the government ought to be merely a (small) group of
agencies to serve some essential needs that can't be served in any
other way, as _employees_ of the citizens, _not_ rulers over them.
But it has grown, like a cancerous tumor, far beyond its
constitutional bounds to the point where it is now a power unto
itself. In many ways -- like drug possession and other victimless
crime "laws," IRS seizure "laws," forced association "laws," and

financing for elected offices, we'd be able to get a better handle on

It really beyond redemption without a complete teardown and reassembly,

I know. My own very small contribution in stopping the abomination of
the Palestine occupation dealt with exactly that. I convinced the guys
in the trenching/earth moving section to buy a Hitachi backhoe instead
