At $75.00 I would opt for a fully warranted new one from Radio Shack
for $99.00.
Factory refurbs and shelf models are only ok if you can get them for
75% of retail.

Radio Shack store (after first stopping off at the food court and
flirtin with them gals www.metromalljackson.com) and buy the Grundig
radio of my choice (and back over to the food court and impress the gals
with my "Grundig") and if I didn't like that Grundig radio,I would
(after the food court thingy again) take it back to the Radio Shack
store for a full refund and stop off at the food court again.

The drift problem seems to have been fixed, at least it's no longer a
problem on my S350DL. It's also very sensitive off the whip antenna.
The S350DL is now my portable radio of choice, beating out the YB400,
Sony 7600G and ATS909, all of which I own.

What about the selectivity of the 350 DL compared to the 350?
I have the Tecsun version of the 350... a BCL2000. I love it for MW, but
rarely use it for SW due to less than stellar selectivity. Mine is one of the last
Tecsun models with English lettering and I don't have much of a problem with
drift. So I'm wondering if upgrading is worth it, just to have no drift... or are
sensitivity and selectivity improved enough to make the switch?

I cannot answer that question, I have never used the S350. The

did go to the Radio Shack store in the strip mall next to the wal mart
store.They were out of stock on the Grundig S350 radios.The sales lady
said the Clinton (Clinton is a city five miles West of me) store has two
Grundig S350 DL radios for nintey nine dollars each.(She did say Grundig
S350 DL radios) Since I am not interested in buying one of those
radios,I am not going to waste my time driving over there to see for
myself.If I want to buy a new radio of a price range between about
$100.00 and $150.00 I will pick up my phone and call www.jr.com and
buy a new Sony GR 7600 radio.
