ratio is easy enough, but how about the absolute turns count? Can
one determine the characteristic impedence of a toroid with just an
O-scope, its calibration oscillator (or a 2M ham rig as a signal
generator) and maybe a DMM? How do you get from the measurements
to permeability to an equation relating turns to impedence at a
certain frequency?
