FYI model 1887 fans/buyers:

Here's a short clip of the CC 2-shot mod in action. 4 shots loaded and
fired in 8 seconds, pretty darn good for an upgraded 1887 design !

http://www.coyotecap.com/87test.wmv

Here's the webpage for the actual gun- the model shown is the 18"
barrel version.

http://www.coyotecap.com/mod__'87_wcse.htm

These are available in 2 configurations, either WCSE for $673, or
standard warehouse gun for $499.95 Both prices include shipping.

The WCSE has recoil pad, leather lever strap, barrel cut to 18", screw
in choke system, 3 spare chokes, choke wrench. You can get a warehouse
gun upgraded to WCSE.

The Std. warehouse gun has 20" barrel, metal buttplate, fixed cylinder
bore choke.

Both models have the CC action job and 2-shot mod.

Here's the kicker- this is a "money talks" deal- there are only about
40 unreserved warehouse guns left available for new buyers- the rest of
the stock has already been reserved with deposits ! (about 140 guns
are on reserve already)

So the supply is again very limited- if you want one, pay in full and
get one now. To get green tagged and released to the shop for
finishing, a gun must be first paid in full. Otherwise, it sits and no
work is done to it.

Finally, CC had rejected a number of guns with cast receivers for
defects. Watch for them being sold from other venues. Almost all of
CC's guns are forged receivers. He does have a few cast receiver guns
which are ok, and will discount the price on them by $50. That brings
the warehouse price down to $449.95- and those still get the CC action
job and 2-shot mod.

Intuition tells me that it's best to get the CC action job, otherwise
the gun may not be 100% reliable.

My hat is off to this man- to surmount the huge language/communication
problem with the Chinese factory, and the distance problem (he
travelled there a few times himself), then rework each gun to his
specs- and put up the money ahead of time to build the guns- it was a
tremendous undertaking.

Just a heads up !

Too late.

Interarms is now importing 1887 in quantity. CC's monopoly has ended.

Can you post a web page for the Interarms guns ?

Just one thing to watch out for and beware there- CC rejected a large
quantity of guns, that were made using cast receivers, instead of the
forged receivers he specified. Forged is much stronger. The cast
receivers were pinholed, and were returned to China- where the pinholes
were welded up, and ground down. These were then sold to other vendors
besides CC. Cast receivers are brittle- forged is much better. CC has
a few good, worked over cast rec. guns in stock, but he knocks $50 off
the price for a cast rec. gun. (cast rec. guns are $449.95)

With the other makes, you don't know what you are getting. You are
definitely NOT getting CC's 2-shot mod and action job with the other
non-CC guns.

Without an "action job" by CC or another competent 'smith, none of the
Chinese guns will work reliably if cycled fast with a variety of ammo.
They'll fail to feed, stovepipe, jam, etc.

CC gives you the 2-shot mod and action job, included in the price of
the gun, for $499.95- and it's a forged rec. gun. He completely
disassembles each gun he sells, works the action over, test fires it,
and reassembles and ships it.

CC is the one that designed the repro guns to begin with, he specified
the stronger/safer Winchester 1901 retrofitted to the 1887 guns. And
he stands behind all his guns 100%, if they don't work properly, he'll
let you return them- and he'll fix them- for free. I'd wager he knows
the action and the problems with it, that need to be fixed, better than
anyone else.

I seriously doubt any other vendors will give the same CC guarantee.

Here's just how fast the CC 2-shot mod is, in the hands of an expert CA
shooter

http://www.jspublications.net/records/DeuceShotgun87-350.wmv

That's 4 shots in 3.5 seconds
