Pacman on Playchoice 10????

Anybody else see this auction?

The same seller claims to have Galaga ROMs for playchoice 10 too. Anybody ever
heard of this mod before?

I've heard of this one. Since the Playchoice 10 is basically the same
hardware as an NES, someone has taken NES PacMan and burned it onto
Playchoice 10-compatible ROMs. Stick them on an extra Playchoice 10 add-in
board, and there you go. (Unknown if any modifications to the ROMs were
required to make it work)

I think it is a cool hack but it means the menu will display the wrong game
title. I don't think he figured out a way to make the menu read "Pacman" or
"Galaga", it will always have the name of the original cartridge you put the
roms in.

I have some of the files....

Some of the jumpers need to be modified (SL or CL pads) depending on which type
of cartridge you use....

Isnt there a third rom to hold the title info? I seem to remember an
extra one besides the chr and prg roms normally seen.

Also, I know a guy is europe was working on an updated bios that will
let any game play, he released the bios - and said he was working on
full compatibility - then was never heard from again ? any ideas on
this?

There is. 2 ROM are the same as used on most NES games. (A few NES
games don't have CHR ROM at all) amnd a third one that's accessed
separately contains the title and game info.

this interests me, i have PC10 countertop and i'm thinking about how cool it
would be to play tengen tetris on it...but then i think why dont i just play on
my regular nintendo? its just the opposite of the usual arcade to home system
cycle, with out the insert coin and credits menu it just doesnt seem to make
sense...what might be cool is if some one could hack one of those famicom
multicarts onto a PC10 board, then it could be i dunno a PC20+
