It is inspired by classics such as Golden Axe and the old (red-box)
basic d&d.

[*] i.e. recent versions of firefox, chrome and safari.
VERY nice.
Thanks :)
PS apparently chrome on linux doesn't like something about how we did
some of the visual effects- the game would still be playable just a
bit less flashy. Chrome on mac os x as well as firefox & safari don't
seem to have any issues with it tho. If you are on linux it is advised
to try it with firefox.

It keeps crashing Firefox on me. I'm on Windows XP x64, Firefox
3.6.11. I generally play about a level or two and it just crashes out
of nowhere - no specific actions taken. Bit of a nuisance :/
What I saw was cute. Music made my ears bleed a little, but I like
the old school charm of it. Lack of a rest button was frustrating.

I found two bugs, you can scroll the item selector up past the
limits,
and when you drop an item on another item the first item ceases to
exist although it's picture remains.
Strange, it never crashed on me while testing on windows, mac os x or
linux (I also mostly use firefox). Will try to take a look, maybe via
a VM running XP.

You can stop the music, just press the pause button.

You can wait one turn by pressing '.' (dot).
There is no rest key because there is no need for one - resting
doesn't heal you, you only heal by using healing salve or leveling up.

Thanks, noted the bugs and will fix them at the first opportunity.

I'm on a Mac with Firefox 3.6.11, and no problems here. This is a
whole lot of fun, I think I might start playing NetHack again now.. :)
Well, I developed it on mac os x with firefox, so that's probably the
best-tested platform out there :)

Thanks- Although I think there is very little similarity between the two.
