Calling all Empire players!

Hvy Plastic is designed to be the easy-going little brother in the Hvy
Metal family. Overall, it should be less creatively cruel to players
than its big brothers. Plastic is softer than metal.

Send me your e-mail address, your real name (not strictly required),
country name (starting with a letter, no spaces), password, and
estimated skill level (optional). You should be able to reply by e-mail
to this post; if not, address your message to <arm...@pond.sub.org> and
put "Hvy Plastic" in the subject. If you don't hear from me within a
few days, check your SPAM filters for misconfiguration, then try again,
or cry for help on r.g.e.

The opening of the game is tentatively scheduled for June 23, but that
date may well slip a bit.

Country 1-12, password 1-12, just grab one, and change the password.

The game will run 4.3.30 with only a few modifications that should not
affect players.

The map will be pretty vanilla fairland map, but with concentrated, Hvy
Metal style resources. Game configuration is pretty vanilla as well.
Options are default, except AUTO_POWER is on. Yes, Virginia, that means
NOFOOD is on. Units are from Hvy Metal, but with eccentricities pruned
back some. Nukes are on sale!

You will receive extra sectors and people for a speedy start.

The usual bla-bla: no deity play, unbroken countries will be disposed
of, players determine victory, the more players the merrier, may cancel
game if we don't get enough.

The first update will be a few days after the game opens. We'll have an
update every weekday (Monday to Friday) initially, at 17:00 UTC. We'll
switch to a more leisurly Monday-Wednesday-Friday schedule at the
deity's discretion, but no later than the 10th update. I estimate the
game to last no more than about 35 updates.

Concept : Hvy-Plastic

NAME
Hvy-Plastic - Special rules for Hvy Plastic 3

Level: Basic

Ship types are customized. Better check show for the details.

Dreadnoughts are more heavily armored. Frigates are more fragile.

Land unit types are heavily customized. Better check show for the details.
Non-mechanized units are slower and more vulnerable, artillery firing ranges
differ, few units are light (but troop transports and landing ships can carry
non-light units).

Planes are tweaked somewhat. show is your friend.

Heavy bombers can drop seamines. Anti-sub planes can't.

Nukes are on sale, but nuclear plants are not. Did I mention the show com-
mand?

Infrastructure is disabled.

Fortresses cost maintenance, like capitals.

Your refineries make less petrol from each barrel of oil than usual.

Natural resources gold, oil and uran deplete much slower than usual. A 100%
gold resource contains 2500d, a 100% oil resource contains 2500o, and a 100%
uranium resource contains 500u. Fully depleting a sector will take you sev-
eral updates, and a small fraction of the resource contents will be lost.

Gold in mountains does not deplete at all.

Oil production does not depend on tech; you don't have to micro-manage to con-
serve oil.

Server time is in UTC, which means there will be no daylight savings time.

Missed updates due to server problems will be forced if caught within 15 min-
utes of planned update time or skipped otherwise.

Everything you do in this game is logged by the deities for their own nefari-
ous purposes. However, the logs are treated confidentially.

Make the deity laugh and get up to 5 gold bars.

The following parameters have been set for this game:
World size is 256 by 128.
There can be up to 99 countries.
By default, countries use their own coordinate system.

Use the 'show' command to find out the time of the next update.
The current time is Sun Jun 3 19:03:05.
An update consists of 60 empire time units.
Each country is allowed to be logged in 1440 minutes a day.
It takes 8.33 civilians to produce a BTU in one time unit.

A non-aggi, 100 fertility sector can grow 0.12 food per etu.
1000 civilians will harvest 1.3 food per etu.
1000 civilians will give birth to 5.0 babies per etu.
1000 uncompensated workers will give birth to 2.5 babies.
In one time unit, 1000 people eat 0.5 units of food.
1000 babies eat 6.0 units of food becoming adults.
No food is needed!

Banks pay $250.00 in interest per 1000 gold bars per etu.
1000 civilians generate $8.33, uncompensated workers $1.78 each time unit.
1000 active military cost $83.33, reserves cost $8.33.
Up to 100 avail can roll over an update.
Happiness p.e. requires 1 happy stroller per 10000 civ.
Education p.e. requires 1 class of graduates per 10000 civ.
Happiness is averaged over 48 time units.
Education is averaged over 192 time units.
The technology/research boost you get from the world is 50.00%.
Nation levels (tech etc.) decline 1% every 96 time units.
Tech buildup is limited to logarithmic growth (base 2.00) after 1.00.

WinACE reportedly has trouble with the latest version report. Based on
prior experience, I expect this to be fixed quickly.

The game will *not* start before WinACE works.

Hello all;

you should also try http://www.eseco.fr/English/fonctionnement.html when
studying the options;
As a consequence, someone may lessen the flow control of the loans with great care;
what is the meaning of options facilities management or the loans control?

A Hvy Plastic 3 player has an unexpected change at work cutting into
play time sharply. Country is in a good position. If you're
interested, reply by e-mail.

Three updates a week Mon-Wed-Fri 17:00 UTC, next one is the 22nd update,
and I expect the game to end before update 35.
