I wanted to ask all you PvP experts here the best way to make him
viable again, so I can at least hold my own in a fight. It's not
enough to be a GM mage, I need some sort of angle to take. I tried
archery but I can't fire fast enough. These are his current skills:
100 magery
100 wrestling
100 tactics
98.1 eval int
92.0 meditation
82.3 archery
77.9 resistance
96 str / 99 int / 30 dex
I've considered giving up both the archery and the tactics, but I'm
not sure what to replace that with. Any ideas would be
appreciated...please keep in mind that as a red Damo can't take
advantage of a lot of skill gaining methods others take for granted.
<snip>
Roach mage, by far the dominant mage template right now
Basic 5GM mage
Resist
Med
Eval
Magery
Wrestle
In the last two slots, go
Parry
Healing
With a shield equipped, and the book unequipped you can chug potions,
and use bandages, making you very hard to kill. Not to mention you can
precast somewhat with a shield. For example you can EQUIP THE SHIELD
WHILE CASTING. That is an amazing benefit, because if they do hit and
disrupt you, they usually do 2 to 5 instead of 25.
The parry is easy, but the Healing is a chore.
Drop archery/tactics in favor of one of the following..
Parry/Posion = If you are more offensive
Healing/Anatomy = If you are more defensive
Taming/Animal Lore = If you just want to be massively overpowered.
Inscription/Parry = if you don't like people touching you.
I think those are your only 4 choices.

Bit harder to do as a career move these days.

I did some testing, and I never got GM mage GM posioner to cast DP,
only greater posion.. I didn't try it on people though... but I'm not
sure if you can cast DP, if so the chances must be rare.
Still, greater posion works so much better than that weak posion.
It's amazing what you can do with 50 shade against no magic monsters
(like ettins and trolls).. just run and posion them to death..

Applies either way.
No such thing as an innocent, everyone is guilty of something, you just
have to dig deep with some to find it.
Best bet is to kill em and make up...I mean find the reason after.
