I've just released the source code for KnightCap 1.0 at
ftp://samba.anu.edu.au/pub/KnightCap

KnightCap is a chess program I've written for the AP1000+ distributed
memory parallel computer. Its main features are:

- lousy play (worse than gnuchess - its rated at 1950 on ICS)
- a rendered 3D chess display that you can view from any
angle
- designed for a parallel computer, but also runs on
unix workstations.

KnightCap has only a fairly basic chess algorithm. It has no opening
book or endgame database.

KnightCap plays regularly on FICS at ics.onenet.net.

Cheers, Andrew
