Is this true? If so, it's a sad day for poker. "Gentleman Jack" was one
of the greats.

Yes, Jack has indeed gone to the BIG GAME. Apparently, his death was
caused by incurable liver damage. Always a great player and a gentleman.

I remember Jack, from Caesar's, before Mirage opened. That was a time, when
Vegas performers would play poker, after completing their shows. There will
probably, never again, be games like those. The entire scene has changed.
It's true, the man was gentleman poker player; somewhat of a rarity these
days.

Your right Jack was a gentleman.I played a lot of hours with him at the
Mirage and some at Ceasers. This was late 80,s and early 90,s before he
moved to Tunica. There his lifstyle and personality changed. He was in the
stock investment world in the Philly area before Vegas. He was well
regarded and did not drink very much at that time.He was even under
considration to manage one of the casinos that were opening at that time
in the mid west.Loved to play Omaha8/b and was one of the best.Sadly
things changed for him about the time he had an operation and then moved
from Vegas.Someone posted that he had a liver problem.Maybe he new about
it the last few years .May he be in peace.

I didn't really know Jack, but am sad to hear that he died. I played
against him in a no limit HE tournament at the Grand in Tunica. He knocked
me out one before the money and went on to win the tournament. He was very
good at reading players but it was nearly impossible to put him on a hand.
My condolences to his family. R.I.P.

Well bucko, you sound like one sad bitter person. I'm sure you're got a
list of grievances against the world a mile long. If I had the slightest
interest I would feel sorry for you but, since I don't, welcome to the kill
file. Bye bye.
