"Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the
citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a
double-edged sword. It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the
mind. And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the
blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no
need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry,
infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their
rights unto the leader and gladly so. How do I know? For this is what I
have done. And I am Caesar."

They had no airplanes nor skyscrapers when Caesar ruled. If any drums of

"I can make an attack, and I can assure you of victory for the first 6 to
12 months of the war. But after that, I promise nothing. I also know that
you think America is soft, and will not fight a sustained and costly war
anymore. Nothing could be further from the truth. If we start this war, we
cannot stop at Hawaii or even California.we will have to march on until we
are at the steps of the White House. We must follow the Geneva convention in
this attack. If we deal with America dishonorably by not first signaling our
intentions to them in cutting off negotiations, they will be unmerciful with
us, and we will lose."

unprovoked attack. I fear all that we have accomplished is to awaken a
sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve."

Please repeat after me -- Iraq had nothing to do with bin Laden or the
attack on the world trade center.

The drums of war were indeed beaten by George Bush and his cadre of
neocons leading up to our invasion of Iraq.

History repeated itself just as Caesar outlined and, at every point
where the drums were beaten, you could use feeble excuses such as yours
to cast the world as a vastly different place in need of extraordinary
measures.

You expose yourself as short-sighted and lacking the wisdom of years, or
just a decent education.

Hmm, so, let's recap. In YOUR eyes, if you haven't seen a picture of
something in awhile, it automatically means that it doesn't exist???
Exactly how long of a period is it? If I haven't seen a picture of
someone, or something in, say, a week? A month? Just when does this
something or someone evaporate? What a silly argument you're presenting
here!

Oh God, here goes that boring song again. The So. Pacific islands and India
had nothing to do with Japan. North Africa, Crete, Greece, and Norway had
nothing to do with Germany. Can you spell s-t-r-a-t-e-g-i-c?

You've got your head in a really dark place

1. in mud
2. in sand
3. shove past your anal sphincter

Can you send some self portraits and some proof of Iraq's involvement in
9/11?

Do you think they had a bigger hand in it than the Saudis?

I think you'll need to tighten the blinders a bit before answering,
otherwise your head might explode.

It's about the OIL, plain and simple.

Not bin Laden, not Saddam, not the Saudis.

It's about OIL.

NYOB's vapid argument that Caesar's analysis doesn't apply is complete
bullshit. Blame was transferred by Bush and his cronies from Saudi
Arabia and Afghanistan to Iraq so they could take over Saddam's big,
underutilized pool of oil.

They beat the drums, we gave up our rights. The democrats folded like a

We don't stand for anything anymore, other than big business.

Let's just prove how much of a true dumb fuck you really are, John.
Tell the group the following:

What evidence do you have that I live in a trailer park?

What evidence do you have that I have pirated cable?

what evidence do you have that I have cable?

To show what a complete idiot you are:

I live in a nice house. Nice pool, two nice decks, acre of land.

I have Dish Network, with the sports package.

Now, I wonder if you even have enough brain power to feel foolish.

This is the best outcome for bin Laden.

If the US killed him then he would become a martyr.

If the US captured him and held him he would more trouble than he is worth.
Hijackings to free him and such.

If he dies hiding in a hole from kidney failure or some other affliction he
will mostly be forgotten by history. This is the desired end for bin Laden.

True. Have you ever thought about how important OIL is in your life?

Everything you find at your grocery store got there using OIL. Most
everything in the store is packaged with material that is made from OIL. The
supplies at your doctor's office and your hospital got there by being
transported by an OIL.

I don't remember that. I remember a lot of you righties backing up any
excuse that Bush gave, depending on which month we were into the war.

That friggin' asshole works for us, not the other way around. I want to
know the truth about how we're investing our tax dollars and why. To
spend hundreds of billions of dollars to control a pool of oil may be
considered by many Americans to be folly.

I'd rather invest that money in incentives for forwarding alternatives
to fossil fuel. But that wouldn't do much good for Bush's buddies.
Large public works projects, bullets and ammo, oil are all good business
for the Bush/Cheney ticket.

They're a bunch a gangsters as far as I'm concerned. Get in office to
turn the world in the direction that'd best serve your relations.

It's a disgusting turn of events for our country.

"That friggin' asshole" will be out of office in about three years and you
will have the oppourtunity to put up a candidate. Let's see if you can put
forth a candidate that can actually win this time without the help of 40's

And what alternatives are there to fossil fuels?

Nuclear? Let's start building them now.

Wind? Let's start putting them up in the most efficient places even if it
obscures the view form Martha's vinyard and The Cape. Oh, and expect some
seagulls and raptors to die in the process.

Solar? Not ready for mass market right now.

And that is accomplished by tax incentives. The corporation doesn't work for
the government it works for its shareholders.

And, if the government wants to be the sole shareholder of all corporations
you will need to look towards the Soviet Union. Oh wait, it doesn't exist
anymore. That experiment failed.

If we had captured him, the smartest thing we could've done would've been to
kill him very quietly and thoroughly cremate his remains. No news, no
martyr, no nothing. The mafia understands this sort of thing. I wonder if
Bush could've been made to understand it, perhaps using free pretzels as a
training aid.

I agree. He shouldn't have had to ask for permission from Congress and the

early stages of military operations to disarm Iraq, to free its people and
to defend the world from grave danger." (Bush, March 18th, 2003)
