I'm hoping that Paulo Bettini will take the world's again this year setting
an all-time record of 3 world titles in a row!

GO PAULO!

Because Paulo Bettini is one of the great riders of this last decade and I'd
like to see his name remembered far into the future since it ain't likely
that anyone will ever do that again even if he manages it.

Bettini won't win. It's basically a flat course - nowhere for the

Nice.

Maybe coke is a gateway drug to older women.

Bettini is a great racer but he's not so interesting that I want him
to win 3 in a row. Valverde would be more interesting.

His name will be remembered far into the future even if he oversleeps
and misses the race! You're right that it's not likely that anyone
will ever do that again because Bettini won't do it in the first
place. Boonen is going to win.

Both are bigtime dopers.

Valverde has great ability but he falters too easily. Bettini is the MAN! He
rides like he knows what he's doing. And he'll make it three in a row unless
everyone else concentrates on shutting him down.

I'd pick Freire if this is now the WC picking thread.
Candyass pick: A Spaniard

Bettini is not only a doper, but a dope dealer:

But according to reports on German channel ZDF, Sinkewitz is quoted in a
document as naming 2004 Olympic road champion and defending world road
champion Bettini, plus retired Italian Davide Bramati, as his suppliers.

"I got the Testogel from Italian riders and I can also name them, they
were Davide Bramati and Bettini," he is quoted as saying.
