FOR SALE:

62cm X 57cm (c-t) CLARK-KENT road racing tandem

Kent of Denver, frame builders for Coors Light, Dean, and LeMond
--Rear top tube is a whopping 32" for those looking for lounge space

--Dura-Ace 177.5 & 175mm tandem cranks and bottom brackets

beefed-up tandem-specific cassette hub. BTW, these are the only carbon-fiber
aero wheels on the market guaranteed by the manufacturer for tandem use.
--Continental SuperSport 700CX25 tires, Michelin Ultralight tubes, Rox rim
strips
--No eyelets for racks or fenders, and no clearance for them anyway! This
thing is strictly a go-fast racing, club riding, or century machine.

This tandem has about 500 miles on it since new and everything is in mint
condition. Many of the parts, including the wheels, tires, saddles,
cassette, rear derailleur, front brake, and headset are brand new, with ZERO
miles on them. The frame size is given as center-to-top, although the seat
tubes front and rear extend about 2" above the top tube, so somewhat smaller
riders could be accomodated than what the frame size would suggest (e.g., I
usually ride a 60cm c-t frame and this frame fits me fine in the front).

The frame was custom-built by Clark-Kent (former Coors Light, Dean, and
LeMond framebuilders) in Denver by some of the best people in the business.
Don Herr did the welding and Steve Soderman (famous for his outrageous
custom paint jobs) did the finishing. Both of them are proud enough of their
workmanship to have signed the frame. Total cost new for the whole bike, as
described, is over $6,000.

Sale price : $2950 (same as I was asking a few months ago without the new
wheels)

JPEG photos are available; inquire and I'll e-mail them to you. Shipping can
be arranged--I've shipped tandems all over the US.
