Membership rates:

The deadline for the special pre-registration prices has passed.

$45.00 at the door
$25.00 for a "one day"
mail-in memberships must be postmarked by 6-1-93

NOTE TO PRE-REGISTERED MEMBERS:

If you have sent in your pre-registration application, you should
have received or will receive a yellow confirmation postcard in the
mail. If you pre-registered before the release date of the
progress report, you should have received PR in the mail, with your
membership number on the mailing label as a confirmation.

Dealers' Room

Anime America will feature a 9900 sq. ft. dealers' room devoted primarily
to anime and manga. Tables are $120 apiece and come with 2 memberships each.
Limit of 5 tables per dealer. Please write for a copy of the room layout and
seller's agreement. Send inquiries to the Dealer's Room Coordinator at the
Anime America address.

AnAmTV

AnAmTV will feature three 24-hour anime TV channels. Tracks 1 and 2 will
feature all of your favorite anime, movies, OAV's and TV shows. In addition to
anime, Track 3 will periodically provide Con scheduling information and
broadcasts of panels and special events. We are hiring a technician from the
video company that installed this brand new system, so we will have a crystal
clear signalthroughout the hotel.

We have received permission from USMC, U.S. Renditions, Streamline, AnimEigo
and The Right Stuf to air their videos on the closed circuit system, but we
encourage you to go down to the video theaters to take advantage of the big
screens and surround sound. Comments and requests are most welcome. Please
note that copying of video from the closed circuit system will not be permitted.
Disconnecting the cable from the television set causes the central computer
to stop premium band cable service, which includes the AnAmTV channels, to the
affected room.

Film Track

Anime America will feature 16mm and 35mm film programs in 100 and 500 seat
theaters. For anime on the big screen, this is the place to be! We have been
given access to Tezuka Productions', Tokuma Shoten's, Central Park Media's, ACC
Production's and Streamline's entire film libraries and have a special series
of 3-D anime shorts from ACC Production. The 3-D films will be premiered for
the first time in the United
States at Anime America! The 3-D technology used in these films is the right
angle polarization which can be seen in the 3-D presentations at Disney's Epcot
Center and other high-tech theaters. Anime America has received access to so
many films that it will lease two theaters. The 3-D presentations will be held
in the 100 seat theater due to the viewing angle and projection limitations of
3-D. Multiple showings will be scheduled so that as many people as possible
are able to see these films.

Miyazaki Film Festival:

Porco Rosso (English version)
Kiki's Delivery Service
My Neighbor Totoro (English version)
Castle of Cagliostoro (Subtitled)

(all on 35MM)

Furthermore, AnimEigo has announced a special cell deal for the
Miyazake Film Festival. When you watch any of our Miyazake 35MM
films, be sure to grab a special sticker that will be provided on
the way out, and recieve a 20% discount on an original Studio Ghibli
production cell at the AnimEigo booth in the dealer's room.
This means you can get a Miyzake cell for as little as $15!
Or, receive a discount of up to $100 from their "Ones they really
don't want to sell" folder. ;)

Megumi Hayashibara Concert

Largely known in the United States for her voice acting (Ranma-chan from
"Ranma 1/2", Ai from "Video Girl Ai", Pai from "3x3 Eyes", Nuku Nuku from
"Super Cat Girl", Saki from "Yohkoso Yohko" and Minky Momo, among others), Ms.
Hayashibara is one of the top female pop singers in Japan. In a FIRST TIME EVER
EVENT, Ms. Hayashibara will perform a CONCERT FOR HER AMERICAN ANIME FANS! The
NUMBER ONE voice actress in Japan according to ANIMAGE magazine's latest poll
will sing hits from her top anime related releases and between numbers will
take questions from the audience.

Art Show

A 4 ft by 4 ft half panel is $12.50. More than 6 half panels, please send
inquiries to the Art Show Coordinator. Table space is 4 ft by 16 in. at a rate
of $10.00 per space. For further info, please write to the Art Show Coordinator
at the AnAm address.

Doujinshi exhibit and sale

Members of Japan's largest fan publishing convention, Comic Market, will
provide quantities of some of the most sought after fan publications available.
Comic Market
staff will man a table in the dealers room and will have an ample supply of
doujinshi for sale, having solicited from all the top doujinshi circles in
Japan. Additionally, Comic Market staff will be available to discuss convention
registration with interested American would-be publishers. They will have
English versions of rules and registration forms.

The books sold by the Comic Market staff are the highest quality fan comics
in the world. If you were to try to purchase some of these comics at their home
convention,
you would have to wait in line a minimum of two hours. This will be the first
time such books will be offered at a convention outside Japan.

Cel painting workshop

Anime America will host four cell painting workshops. Experienced fan cel
painters, whom you've seen in the artists ghetto in previous Cons, will
instruct interested attendees in cel painting technique. Materials will be
provided by Anime America with a minimal workshop fee. These materials will
include paint, brushes, gloves and a pre-xeroxed celluloid. The workshops are
expected to last approximately
2 hours and will cost about $10 per person.

Scholarship Benefit Auction

Go Nagai, creator of Devilman, Mazinger Z, Cutey Honey and many other
animated series and video releases, could not attend Anime America this year
but instead donated 16 rare cels from Devilman 2. The cels include two setups
with backgrounds! There are two shots of Shirane getting one of her wings blown
off, three close shotsof Devilman and two class-A cels with backgrounds.

Sketches, books, posters, cels and other items donated by supporting
artists and companies will also be auctioned. Proceeds will go to the
Foundation for Animation and Comic Education's Scholarship Fund. The
scholarship will be awarded to a deserving student of art, video production,
film or a related field, at Anime America 1994.

Urusei Yatsura/Maison Ikkoku Cel Auction

A long-time fan of Kitty Animation, Kasumi Sawatari, will be auctioning off
his Urusei Yatsura and Maison Ikkoku cel collections through arrangements with
Anime America. The collection consists of 56 cels, including two rare Lum
closeups, closeups of Ran and Ben-ten, a close up of Ryunosuke and an
impossible-to-find harem scene from one of Moroboshi Ataru's dreams!

Anime America will also have banquets with our guests, arcade and RPG
games, sketch and autograph sessions, informational and promotional panels,
costuming and much more!

ANIME AMERICA '94

Anime America has confirmed Anime Godfather GO-NAGAI for Anime America '94.
Go Nagai is responsible for Devil Man, Cutey Honey, Kuro no Shi-Shi, and
a myriad of other titles as well.
Considered a father and founder of modern Anime, he is credited with starting
the supernatural/horror and "giant robot" genres, among many other great
accomplishments.

Anime America is the first and only convention to secure guests so far in
advance. Why? So that when you buy your pre-registered membership at the
'93 convention this year, you will know who will be seeing.

Pre-registration for '94 at this year's con will be simple and inexpensive.
A special low at-con membership rate will be in effect from 6-25 through
6-27 1993.

That's right, the best time to buy your 1994 memberships will be at Con-93.
