THE WHO COOPERATIVE - Online Update #2

The international network dedicated to the furtherance and promotion of
DOCTOR WHO fan media productions

Welcome once again to what's hot and happening in the world of fan
media. Thanks to all who contacted me after the first update and without
further ado...

NEWS NEWS NEWS NEWS NEWS NEWS NEWS NEWS NEWS NEWS NEWS NEWS NEWS NEWS NEWS
Fan media news from around the net and around the world

SEASON 27
Howard Richardson of the SEASON 27 Radiophonic Workshop (Thanks Howie)
got in touch with us to let us know of S27's plans for the future and
reminded us that S27 are now a year old! (o/~ Happy Birthday to you!!! o/~)
A "movie-style" trailer for their recently completed Cyberman epic "JUBILEE"
is now available on the S27 website and plans are afoot for their next
adventure of the Doctor. The theme arrangement for "THE MOBIUS TRAP" is
already on the website and production on the story should be in production
in the near future and given Howard and co's penchant for old enemies you
can be sure that it will feature a returning menace... And you will obey
him!!!!

EVERLASTING FILMS
We also heard from those funky guys who have been at it for slightly longer
than S27. (Fifteen years! Can you believe it?) Lighthope was a little
disappointed that they didn't rate a mention in the first online update, so
I hope this goes some way to redressing the balance.
Forthcoming productions from Everlasting Films include "DEVINAUARA IV" (due
for release in November), "MORNINGSTAR MANOR", "MESOMORPH" and "THE CRIMSON
SCARAB" (Currently scheduled for November '99)

IT'S COMING HOME... IT'S COMING HOME... IT'S COMING... WHO IS COMING HOME!!!
Many marvellous DOCTOR WHO fan media productions have come from the, um,
colonies over the last few years, but one of the major hurdles with films
is the difference in video formats. (Whoever decided to create NTSC and PAL
should be roasted on a spit in hell next to the woman who decided to have
a bonfire with some DOCTOR WHO episodes.)
Now that's changing with two american based productions finding a
distributor
in the UK.
Mark Phippen (aka Quences) recently announced that, as well as becoming one
of
the UK distributors for the TIMEBASE series of films, he also had a brand
spanking new PAL master copy of "TIME RIFT" (featuring JON BLUM as the
"convenient" Seventh Doctor) and upon its completion will also make
available
the EX-FEDERATION's latest offering "REALITYWARP." (see below)

THE END IS NIGH...
...for the Steve Hill and co on post-production of "REALITYWARP" with the
world
premiere set for the 21st of November at the HME/Visions convention in
Chicago.

Here's the official press-release...

Realitywarp to Premiere at HME/Visions '98

The Federation's first production in a decade to be shown Sunday morning

(Chicagoland, U.S.A.) Realitywarp will premiere in Video Room 2 at
HME/Visions
'98 on Sunday, November 29th. Realitywarp marks a return to production for
The
Federation, the infamous group of Chicago-area Doctor Who fans who created
such
videos as S-A-V-E-W-H-O, Flake's 7, The Time Lord From U.N.C.L.E., and The
Reign
of Turner.
Realitywarp centers on actors Colin Baker (played by Steve Hill) and Nicola
Bryant
(played by Jennifer Adams Kelley), who become swept up in an adventure of
trans-dimensional proportions. The space-time vortex has been damaged,
altering
realities and trapping the Doctor and Peri. Only Colin and Nicola can stop
the
destruction before the vortex becomes permanently ruptured.
The release of Realitywarp comes on the weekend marking the 15th anniversary
of
The Federation's founding. Formed by a group of friends literally kicked out
of
a local Doctor Who fan club, The Federation made 18 different tapes--all
parodies
of Doctor Who or other media--in it's 1980's heyday. Realitywarp marks the
first
serious Federation production, in addition to being the first time in ten
years
that The Federation has filmed anything.
Realitywarp can be pre-ordered now or purchased at HME/Visions '98. For more
information-- including photos, a detailed plot summary, and a production
diary-- please visit the Official Realitywarp Website.

TIMEBASE UPDATE
A small update since last time. The HELICAL SCAN/TIMEBASE website has now
been
updated with some piccies from the recording of current film "THE CHURCHTOWN
INCIDENT" and general information on the antics of those wild and wacky guys
(and gals) in the North East...

On a side note, it has been brought to my attention that more often than not
many of us in the fan media community have a habit of referring to groups by
the
name of their most visible member. Hence TIMEBASE is often referred to as
the
RUPERT BOOTH films. To this end, I'd like people to start nominating an
"unsung
hero of the week" for the next few issues of the on-line update, allowing us
all to get to know some of our lesser known, but just as important
production
team members.
Over to you...
