In Nuku Nuku, it's _obviously_ the Land Rover Attack.

In Super Robot Wars, it's Ryuu-Ko-Ou Hazan-Ken Geki-Rin-Dan. ^_-

"Amakakeru Ryuu-no-Hirameki", a move that really ought to have been called
"Ten-Shou-Ryuu-Sen". -_-;;; And it's definitely not the wordiest attack -
check such shows as G-Gundam for much longer ones.

The best of which is, IMO, "Pacifist Crush!" I love the way that it wears
its irony and oxymoronicness (is that a word?) on its sleeve.

Lina uses some Japanese wrestling moves in Slayers Next, which is
pretty cool. Mainly when she is beating up on Gourry.

"Goodwill-to-all-Men Punch!"^^

Some of my faves:

"This-is-somehow-gonna-stimulate-you Kick!" from Pretty Sammy^^

Mr. Satan's "Super-Mega-Ultimate-Final Punch!!" or something like that, from DBZ...

And, of course:

"Big Bang PUNCH!!" from Giant Robo!

Dex,
who would be satisfied with "Death Reborn Revoluuution!!" himself...

You should listen to the blooper tracks on the DVDs. Watch as the
dub Kenshin and Hiko are utterly unable to pronounce the name of
their own school (Hiko in particularly seems to have trouble with it)...

This derives from old martial arts traditions, in which this was
actually done. The theory behind it was basically challenge; if you
could yell out the name of your technique and STILL hit the guy with
it... you were GOOD.

I thought it's because the attacks are voice-activated?

Anyway, the best anime finishing techinique is undoudtably Gaogaigar's
Golden Hammer. First off, this weapon is so powerful that every time the big
robot goes to use it, it requires security clearance from the two
highest-ranked people at HQ, which is done via a highly overblown sequence
where they make putting a key in a saftey lock look like the coolest thing
ever. Once that's done, Gaogaigar turns all gold and another huge robot who
was built just to *carry* the Golden Hammer shows up, transforms into a
fist, and merges with Gaogaigar, and then Guy uses two attacks in
sucession-Hammer of Hell and Hammer of Heaven, which involves taking out a
stake and nailing the bad guy robot to the ground, at which point Guy
screams "TURN INTO LIGHT!" for some reason, and the
giant-monster-of-the-week is reduced to light particles as Guy smashes the
Golden Hammer into his head and seemingly brings about the apocolypse at the
same time, judging from the music and the tremendous lightshow/explosion,
anyway.

More importantly, the Golden Hammer looks exactly like the mallet from
Kodomo No Omocha. Any anime where Sana's mallet is treated like the Seventh
Seal being broken automatically rules.

-Wyvern, rambling needlessly
