All,
As RealWeb has been discussed in other threads I thought it would be
useful to highlight what just one of our clients is using it for. In
the example below they are using RealWeb to extract data from their
Reality Database and place this onto Google Maps via the Google Maps
API. This enables citizens to access data about such things as rubbish
(garbage) collection days and council wards etc. online without
actually contacting the local council.
http://www3.staffordbc.gov.uk/servlet/reality/rw/gmex
In the above URL "gmex" is actually the name of a DataBasic program
which builds the resulting page.
Then key in say
ST16 2EW and house number 8 (note any fictitious post codes default
to council buildings)
Location will be highlighted by red blob on the google map. Hover
over it and then click it. A set of tabbed data will appear, the
majority of this data is extracted from their Reality database.
Just one example
Best Regards
