LyX vs Qubes windows handling

Hi,

In this application something messed up around windows placement:

The normal menu (and submenu) windows are popped up in a separate
window in the middle of the screen (and get window decorations as
well) when I select them for the firsttime.... if I select the same
meu again, it works as expected (the nemu windows are palced
correctly, and not get any decorations)

The other effect is about the tooltips... those are hardly visible
because they just flash for half a sec (or less)

any suggestion about this issue?

I have seen this issue few times, but couldn't reproduce it to debug. You say
that LyX have this problem quite often? So perhaps this will help resolving it

Yes, 100% reproduceably in LyX.

Fixed. Updated package is in unstable repo, to install it:
sudo qubes-dom0-update --enablerepo=qubes-dom0-unstable qubes-gui-dom0

Just installed it, and my LyX is working fine now :)

but... it is possible that this upgrade breaks my Xorg in dom0?

The problem is, after installed this I'm lost my keyboard on kdm login :o
Firstly was afraid if I get back the old bug what I get with my old
laptop... but not:
I had a keyboard layout related xorg.conf section... If I remove that
part, I get back my keyboard again, but without the language settings
of course...

I had no time to test if It is possible that that update brake it or
not. but it was working before...

No it is not related to the updates at all...

just started a new thread for the real problem...
