Hello

I have cloned my template vm twice using qvm-clone.
Now all my templates have a ?-icon in the application menu and they are showing all there applicatons (also with a ?-icon).
The templates still work as they should, but it difficult to find my applications.

I have tried to edit the list using qubes vm manager, but there I can onlu see my preffered applications enabled.

Removing the template and recreating it seems to solve this problem.

The only thing is that the default template has the same problem since the original qvm-clone. Having to recreate this template after n clones seems a bit complex.
Is there a way to "fix" the application menu without re-cloning the template?

Kind regards

After some more testing I found that is not related to template cloning.
The actual cause of this behaviour is modifying the template's application list. As soon as you add or remove a program to the "selected" list, the application menu is "broken".

While testing this I also found that Google Chrome (from the Google repository) is not listed in the available applications.
Is it somehow possible to add it to the list (perhaps also other locally compiled applications)?

Ah, this can be a problem, as template is installed as root, but application
list is edited as normal user... Will investigate it.

Google Chrome is known issue (basically because it uses extended menu entry
format). Will be fixed before final 1.0.
