Well that moment has finally come when the Q has got to go – it sits in the drive unused and deserves a more enthusiastic owner.

 

Built as a Kit-In-A-Box from all new parts in 1998/9, it was registered as a new car in 1999 and since then has covered just over 73,000 miles, just nicely run-in!  The power is from a 115 PS 1800 cc Zetec with combined Ram induction system for plenty of low speed torque transmitted through 15” wheels with 60 profile tyres.   Rack travel limiters are fitted.  This combination gives excellent road holding and a comfortable ride for touring whilst providing the correct road speed to engine speed ratio for the ECU and an accurate speedometer.  It is Taxed and MOT’ed to the end of Feb 2014.  It is based at Shoreham by Sea near Brighton in West Sussex.  It has a rear boot wing and a tow hitch, the latter used only occasionally for a small Halfords trailer.  The total fuel consumption from new has averaged out at ~37 miles/gallon.  Build sheets and parts list available if a little smoky!

 

The yellow Gel coat has faded in the sunlight so a new owner will likely need to spray it hence the asking price is low but for information the agreed value with Adrian Flux insurers, based on recent photographs, is £4000.
