Python Ireland Sprints!

Hi Everybody

Python Ireland are delighted to announce the upcoming event, Python Ireland Sprints!

This will be a free two day event held in the very central Brightwater Offices on Merrion Square on the 20th and 21st of June.

The aim of this event is to provide members of Python Ireland the opportunity to learn how to contribute to The Open Source community, further their skills and meet other people who are passionate about coding and contribution.

On the Saturday morning there will be an introduction to Github and contribution with Gerry. This will be useful for anybody who may not have had much experience working on projects with people or are new to Python.

The rest of the weekend will be spent working on various tickets that will be made available from Python Ireland. There will also be the opportunity to bring your own projects if you want to work on them with people. The tickets will ranges in ability from "very easy" to "a bit of a challenge".

There also be mentors on the day so if you are new to coding don't be put off, you will have plenty of resources for help. :)

Of course this event could not be brought to you with out the help of BrightWater. They have kindly lent us their offices and there will be food and refreshments during the event.
