As more and more sites near completion and launch using Pylons, it
seems like it'd be nice to have a "pylons powered" logo/banner for
those who want to indicate what framework they used to build their
site. Unfortunately I'm not a graphics guy, as several people stepped
up with great Pylons HQ designs, does anyone want to tackle making a
"Made with Pylons" button?

Also, for those curious about some of the Pylons (and Myghty) powered
sites, here some of the latest sites/businesses now using Pylons
(this will be on the HQ page soon):
- Bittorrent.com (Myghty + FCGI) 50+ million page-views a day (or
there-abouts)
- Parachute.com

There's more than a dozen other businesses and consultants also
putting together professional applications with Pylons, as I haven't
gotten their permission to list them, if they'd like to speak up,
please do. :)

Cheers,
Ben

Clark+Parsia, Semantic Web R&D, consultancy shop (http://
clarkparsia.com/) is building a SemWeb database integration app using
Pylons for NASA Headquarters, one of what looks to be several Pylons-
powered web apps we're going to build for NASA.

Cheers,
Kendall

I put together what's up there now (top of site), I'll try to get some
variants done this weekend. What's people's thoughts on PNG these days?
Does Explorer still choke on them? Or was that just for PNG with
transparency?

I worked on them with Photoshop simulating Windows screen gamma so they
look [even] lighter than I intended on a Mac... I was trying to keep
them subtle and "classy", but maybe a bit too much.

Basically I didn't want them to be so glaring and loud nobody could use
them on anything but a personal site. I also don't know of any standard
size for such a thing, so I used the dimensions of those "Valid XXXX"
graphics from W3 (XHTML, CSS, etc.). Which is 88 x 31.

All comments welcome, except "those suck", unless you've got some of
your own to show so I can return the compliment ;-)

In my opition, all of the logos/buttons look professional, which makes
them usable even on business sites. But, I prefer the last 2 logos,
because you are able to identify the pylon in the picture... in the
first 2 pictures, it's not clear that a pylon is displayed.
The 3rd one looks best, but I guess that's because the
google-background is so light. The 4th one will probably look better on
a dark background, so it would be nice to keep both of them available.
Thanks for the great job... looks good!

Sure I'll keep everything available... I'll probably spin off a few
more variations this week. Suggestions welcome if someone needs
something not covered so far... (darker, lighter, bigger, smaller,
etc.), I'll see what I can do.
