hi - i'm trying to understand exactly what the firmware compatibility
situation is for PSPSeq. if you could please chime in with the
following info i'd really love it:

1. what firmware you're using
2. what HW version of PSP you're using
3. what basic execution method you're using (ex: copy files from 150
in zip to to GAME150 on PSP, eloader, etc etc) to run the app
4. if there are any bugs or weird behavior you believe are due to the
firmware (ex: can't save WAV files). FYI on 1.50 i consider PSPSeq to
essentially be completely stable so if you're seeing any crashes i
want to know.

if someone's already written in with your configuration in this thread
then there's no need to say me too, unless saying me too make you
happy.

even though i'm looking into 3.00, 2.10 is going to live for a while
longer and i really want this laid out as clearly as possible. and
regardless, these same firmware compatibility problems will exist with
3.00 so i want to deal with them early in the dev process.

thanks everyone!

Guess I'll go first but I've mailed you about this before...

Firmware 3.40 oe-a:

Writing writing seems to be completely jacked up.  Two issues:
1.)  Writing to PSP/MUSIC results in nothing but PSPSeq doesn't crash...it goes through the motions, but writes nothing at all.  I believe because on firmware 3.40, the music folder isn't even IN the PSP/ folder.

2.)  Writing to PSPSEQ/WAV causes a crash when it's done writing.  The program tries to go back and play, but you hear only a quick belch of sound and the sequencer crashes after playing the first step, freezing everything.  HARD POWER OFF must be performed.  However, the file written is just fine.

Here is my list:

1. 3.52 M33-4 custom firmware

2. PSP1004 (psp "fat")

3. copying files into PSP\GAME150 is sufficient to run PSPSeq for me
(i've the two directories PSP\GAME150\PSPSeq210 and PSP
\GAME150\PSPSeq210%)

4. I did not notice anything weird. Rendering .wav is ok

Cheers,

just wanted to add that it appears that PSPSeq works with all custom
FW via the eLoader here:

http://www.noobz.eu/joomla/news/eloader-v1.000.html

i helped a guy get up an running on 3.80 CFW. is anyone out there
using this method to run PSPSeq? just want to make sure it's truly
compatible, rather than just PSPSeq booting but crashing on WAV render
or that it shows bad performance or some other unfortunate behaviour.
if this is solid that's great as this method will work for all CFW and
PSP slim.
