Hi,

I see that version 2.0.2 has started versioning the libprotobuf library
(with version = 2:0:0), but the libprotc library is still at version
0:0:0.

Is there a reason for this discrepancy? And is the version stable now
for libprotobuf?

(I ask as I'm working on the debian packages and this change requires
package name changes...)

thanks,
iustin

Argh, that was a mistake.  They should use the same version.  And 2.0.1 should really have been 1:0:0.

I'm not very good at this maintenance thing...

Unfortunately, due to the nature of C++, it's unlikely that any two versions of the library will be binary-compatible.
