I'm glad to inform you that the "Iranian Standard Persian" keyboard
layout for Windows is finally here.

Keyboard Layout name: Iranian Standard Persian

Enhancements:
* Supports all Windows versions: XP, Server 2003, Vista, 7, Server 2008
* Supports all platforms: i386, amd64, ia64, wow64
* Fixed the conflict with Microsoft Persian (usually happened in
Vista, 7, Server 2008)
* Layout will be activated automatically after installation

You don't need to install Persian Standard Keyboard on Mac OS X. It's support by default and you just need to enable it. See http://goo.gl/FovqNB

Hi Mehdi,

The ISIRI 9147 keyboard layout has been available (and been used as the default "Persian" layout) on most Linux distros for about two decades now.

You can see the layout specification on XKeyboard source code here: https://cgit.freedesktop.org/xkeyboard-config/tree/symbols/ir .

Hi Iskandar,

Unfortunately, I don't have the knowledge of how this specific package runs on Windows 11.

However, as far as I know, latest versions of Windows do come with ISIRI-9147-based layouts, in addition to the old Microsoft layout. Please check the keyboard language options on your system and see if you can find it there.

And if you do (or don't, even) please do feel free to share a screenshot here, for the others to find the answer easier next time. :)

Thanks for bringing this to our attention!
