And Josephine Filmer-Sankey is of interest here because her (late?)
husband Patrick Hugh Filmer-Sankey was the elder son (of 2) of Lady
Ursula Grosvenor (1902-1978) - herself elder daughter of Hugh
Grosvenor, 2nd duke of Westminster - by her first husband William
Filmer-Sankey.

Though the Westmister's are Anglican William Filmer-Sankey & his
descendants are Catholic.

Josephine Griffin was the only dau of Ronald Griffin (son of Sir Lepel
Henry Griffin, KCSI), and Patience ...., she married Patrick Hugh
Filmer-Sankey at the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, Warwick St.,
London 11 October 1956.

She wrote 1 book about the Bayeux tapestry.

Josephine Filmer-Sankey will be buried Bruera, nr Saighton, Cheshire
where her husband's aunt Lady Mary Grosvenor (& presumably other family
members) are buried. There was/is a Westmister family property at
Saighton.

I know the Filmer-Sankey's have been mentioned here before but I've
find information thin on the ground (nothing in the Times online) re
the death of Patrick, the birth & marriage William & the births of his
children, and the marriages - if any - of Josephine's nephew's Dominic
& Christopher.

I have had no luck tracking this family either. Thanks very much for
your useful info here!

Me too. Thanks. I think the younger son was married to a James VI & I
descendant, and died young, leaving 2 sons. I have some information on
the business activities of one of the sons, but nothing on their
marriages (if any).

Here's what I have on Lady Ursula & her descendants (with your
additions Shinjinee) - I wonder whether the Traudel Filmer-Sankey who
died last year widow of William Patrick F-S might be a daughter-in-law
of Lady Ursula's 1st husband by a 2nd marriage?

Patrick Filmer-Sankey (1925-1995) was a film producer and grandson of the 2nd Duke of Westminster.  His wife the actress Josephine Griffin gave birth to one son William Patrick Filmer-Sankey, sometime director of the V&A until 2010.

Patrick Filmer-Sankey also had natural issue with the actress Adrienne Corri

1. [legitimate] William Patrick Filmer-Sankey, aged 54 in 2010, thus born in 1956

2.  [natural, by Adrienne Corri] Sarah Filmer-Sankey
3. [natural, by Adrienne Corri] Patrick Filmer-Sankey

"Adrienne Riccoboni was born in Glasgow on Nov. 13, 1931, and raised in Edinburgh. Her son said she left home as a teenager and performed with traveling theater groups before attending the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.

She had two children, Patrick and a daughter, Sarah Filmer-Sankey, with the film producer Patrick Filmer-Sankey in the 1950s. They both survive her, as do a sister, Brenda Simonetti, and a granddaughter.

Ms. Corri’s marriage to the actor Daniel Massey ended in divorce."

Hope this helps.
