intermediate points and route calculation optimization

hallo osmand team

First of all, thank You for osmand. I like it alot!!


Because (as far as I know)  alternative routes feature is not present in osmand (#1712), I am trying to achieve it through "intermediate points" feature.

I need to get the the destination depicted on 1.png, but my friend tells me to go through route marked with green/grey arrow on 1.png.

intermediate point does not solve the problem (2.png).

Second intermediate point does not either (3.png).

Is it expected behavour?

osm of course allows to go along green/grey arrowed road.

I'm also attaching the gpx track.

Looks like a bug, if there is no particular limitations on that crossing.

Before phones had navigation, people used to use MapQuest for directions. I remember it had a feature in which the user could tell MapQuest to avoid a particular way. Then the route would be recalculated without that way. If (points to avoid) were combined with intermediate points in OsmAnd, the app would become much more capable of dealing with situations OpenStreetMap can't account for, such as a temporary road closing.

Hallo Victor.

There were changes (restriction relations) around that place which fixed the problem, thus conclusion is that it was NOT problem of osmand.
