Can't connect to sandbox on any browser, getting "bad server" or
unable to verify errors.

What's happening? Main orkut is working fine.

Anyone from orkut team can comment?

I'm getting the following error on FF:
Não foi possível acessar o orkut. Verifique sua conexão com a
internet.

on IE:
Que feio, servidor! Você não pode fazer isso.

Sandbox is not loading. Main orkut is working fine.

What's up?

Same here.

Also noticed that Orkut was attacked these days with spam and community flood. Really bad.

Sorry for the delay, sandbox is back up. We have pulled in a new
snapshot of Shindig, please test your apps. :-)

That's confirmed: sandbox is still unavailable on IE. We'll be pushing
sandbox again soon and that should fix it.

Dear devs, sandbox is still inaccessible on IE.

There's a new push of the gadget server (on gmodules.com) coming to
production this week. We have tested it as well as we could, but there
could still be something we missed. If you access sandbox right now,
you'll already use the new code.

Anatoly, is bpc=1 not working to bypass the cache? Is that only in
sandbox or in production too?

Thanks,
Tiago

can confirm - sandbox is still not working on IE

bpc=1 is working to bypass the cache but the cache is never updated
without bpc=1 in url - several days now that it is not updated, seems
like translation xml files are also not updated. Looks like bpc is the
only option but we can't tell users to use the bpc, right?

I think that the cache is updated on production but not 100% sure.

Anatoly, we have thoroughly looked in the system for caching problems.
In addition, looking at code caches nothing has changed that could
introduce the issue.

If you notice anything wrong in production, let us know. Otherwise, I
believe it's OK to have to fire bpc=1 in sandbox so your users don't
need to. App specs shouldn't change that often, right?

Regards,
Tiago

Hi Tiago

I don't see anything wrong in production yet but I also don't want to
make any tests on production, the risk of breaking something for a
live app doesn't worth it :)
Your post doesn't add to my confidence of the platform quality since
as far as I understand sandbox orkut code is pushed to production once
in a while.

Right now I have 1 app where the code was not updated for as long as a
week now on the sandbox. It is definitely a problem since I can't test
it effectively when need to add manually bpc=1 to the url each time,
otherwise - it is always an old version from more than a week ago (not
even a previous version).

bpc=1 doesn't update the version for other users, only for myself,
please test this issue before you update the production with this code
there is definitely something going wrong there. App specs can change
often when there is a work in progress and the app is updated
frequently if not with actual specs but with translation can be
updated often. On production and on sandbox prior to that bug the
specs update is occuring auto within 20 minutes since the actual
update.

If you need more info or app id to test please let know.

thanks

I'm still unable to access developer's page (sandbox.orkut.com/Main#Developer).

I need to migrate an app xml, is there another way to do that?
