Doctors, Healthcare Workers And Patients Refusing Swine Flu Vaccine In Britain

Many GPs and practice staff are refusing to be vaccinated against swine flu, even in ‘hot-spot’ areas where rates of infection are rising fastest. At some practices no front line staff have agreed to have the vaccine, despite BMA and Government warnings that it is ‘crucial’ to the success of the campaign. GPs warned there were early signs that take-up among patients might also be disappointing, amid continued fears over vaccine safety. Dr Liz Miller, a locum GP in London, said she would not recommend the vaccine to her patients because of safety concerns: ‘I do not intend to be vaccinated, nor will I recommend it to patients. It is untested and unnecessary. It’s time doctors started thinking for themselves instead of mindlessly obeying the Department of Health because they are terrified of missing out on free money.’

Israeli Health Ministry Challenged On Swine Flu Vaccines

Dr Daisy J Stern MD writes to Professor Dan Engelhard of Hadassah University Hospital, Israel and says: I reminded you of the squalene and polysorbate 80 contained in these vaccines, and about the dangers of auto-immune reactions, neurotoxicity, and infertility that these vaccines present. The statistics presented by the CDC and other monitoring bodies are severely distorted. H1N1 is a mild influenza virus, much milder even than regular, yearly seasonal influenza. Pandemrix has barely been tested on children at all, and has been banned from use in Switzerland below the age of 18, because of lack of clinical data. The combination of squalene and polysorbate 80 in a buffered solution has been shown to be an excellent anti-fertility combination, in anti-fertility research performed by scientists for the W.H.O. Giving these vaccines to our young population is tantamount to sterilizing them. I urge you to cancel the decision to use PandemRix in our children ages 3-10, and desist as well from using Focetria in the rest of our population. The orders of the Ministry of Health significantly and unnecessarily endanger our whole population.

Majority Of Academic Researchers Have Pharmaceutical Industry Ties

The ongoing controversy over conflicts of interest among academic researchers with ties to drug or device makers prompted a little more research. And the results? A mailed survey of 3,080 academic life science researchers at 50 universities in 2007 found that 52.8 percent have some form of relationship with industry within the previous three years, according to Health Affairs. Also worth noting is that faculty with industry support were more likely to report trade secrets resulting from their work and experienced prolonged delays in publication.
