More than half the scientists on the swine flu taskforce advising the Government have ties to drug companies. Eleven of the 20 members of the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE) have done work for the pharmaceutical industry or are linked to it through their universities. Many have declared interests in GlaxoSmithKline, the vaccine maker expected to be the biggest beneficiary of the pandemic. The disclosure of the register of interests comes just days after a health expert branded the swine flu outbreak a 'false pandemic' driven by the drug companies which stood to profit. Hong Kong Cardiologist - Don't Get Swine Flu Vaccinated

A 58-year-old cardiologist who received a human swine flu (H1N1) vaccination is in serious condition with Guillain- Barre syndrome, a disease that affects the nervous system. Li said the patient has shown weakness in all four limbs and his symptoms were "compatible with Guillain-Barre syndrome." He said the case is a "very strong deterrent" for people not to be vaccinated.

Faked Pandemics - A Threat For Health

In order to promote their patented drugs and vaccines against flu, pharmaceutical companies have influenced scientists and official agencies, responsible for public health standards, to alarm governments worldwide. They have made them squander tight health care resources for inefficient vaccine strategies and needlessly exposed millions of healthy people to the risk of unknown side-effects of insufficiently tested vaccines. European Parliament To Investigate WHO And 'Pandemic' Scandal

The Council of Europe member states will launch an inquiry in January 2010 on the influence of the pharmaceutical companies on the global swine flu campaign, focusing especially on extent of the pharma‘s industry’s influence on WHO. The Health Committee of the EU Parliament has unanimously passed a resolution calling for the inquiry. The step is a long-overdue move to public transparency of a “Golden Triangle” of drug corruption between WHO, the pharma industry and academic scientists that has permanently damaged the lives of millions and even caused death.

Fury At UK Public Sector Workers Vaccine Scandal

Hundreds of public sector workers who claim their lives have been wrecked by vaccines say the Government has abandoned them. Up to 200 doctors, nurses, firefighters, prison officers, police officers, forensic scientists and binmen say they have developed serious physical and mental health problems after injections essential for their work over the past 10 years. All have given up their jobs and some are now 60 per cent disabled. Experts believe the injections caused the health problems, which include chronic fatigue, muscle pain, weakness and cognitive problems, because illnesses developed soon after vaccination. A mum's 17-year compensation battle for her severely disabled son is set to make legal history. Jackie Fletcher has become the first person in the UK to be granted a form of legal aid to help take a claim to a Vaccine Damage Payment Unit tribunal. But while the successful application for "exceptional funding" sets an important precedent, a subsequent victory would have more symbolic and political significance for the Golborne family than anything financial. Jackie, who formed the national pressure group Jabs to highlight the alleged serious side-effects of the MMR inoculation, said she was hoping that the London tribunal next year would finally give the family some kind of positive result.
