USA Boy Struck Down By Potentially Fatal Nerve Disease After Swine Flu Vaccine

Jordan McFarland, 14, was hospitalized for five days after coming down with Guillain-Barre syndrome hours after receiving a vaccination for H1N1

A 14-year-old Virginia boy is weak and struggling to walk after coming down with a reported case of Guillain-Barre syndrome within hours after receiving the H1N1 vaccine for swine flu. Jordan is among the first people in the nation to report developing the potentially life-threatening muscle disorder after receiving the H1N1 vaccine this fall. Hospital officials didn't dispute that the boy had GBS, but refused to comment on the boy's condition or treatment, even after his family granted permission. Dr Claudia J. Vellozzi, CDC deputy director for immunization safety, said there is no clear link between the new vaccine and the disease. One Click Note: The Health Protection Agency in Britain has officially warned neurologists that they must be alert for an increase in brain disorder Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS), triggered by the vaccine. GBS attacks the lining of the nerves, causing paralysis and inability to breathe and can be fatal and yet the CDC is busy publicly den ying that such a Swine Flu vaccine connection exists. This is disgraceful CDC misinformation propaganda leading to a complete loss of public confidence in the Swine Flu vaccine programme around the world.

France - 70% Refusing Swine Flu Vaccine

Many French remain hostile to H1N1 vaccination. An online poll carried in today’s issue of French daily
Le Figaro, which tends to draw an informed, educated readership, asks “H1N1: Should we get (our) children vaccinated?” Currently running 70 percent “non” (no) the poll has drawn not only comments negative toward the vaccine, but often virulent attacks against the vaccination policy.

Skeptics Ask: Does The Swine Flu Vaccine Work?

In this month's Atlantic in an article titled
"Does the Vaccine Matter?", some flu researchers are expressing caution about both the vaccine's abilities as well as the use of antivirals to treat the swine flu. What if everything we think we know about fighting influenza is wrong? What if flu vaccines do not protect people from dying—particularly the elderly, who account for 90 percent of deaths from seasonal flu? And what if the expensive antiviral drugs that the government has stockpiled over the past few years also have little, if any, power to reduce the number of people who die or are hospitalized? The article includes voices from experts who doubt the prevailing scientific wisdom that flu shots significantly reduce the risk of death and are calling for more studies of whether they are effective.
