Help Needed - Network coding in Wireless Mesh Networks

hi,
I am doing a project on Channel allocation in wireless mesh networks
with network coding in the picture.
Tried ns2 ..... but my mind just would not agree to learn both tcl and
c++ for network simulation.
I shifted to ns3....
any leads as to how i should go about the following tasks....
1. Creating separate packet formats(to incorporate Network Coding)
2. EXORing of packets at (Junction)nodes
3. Allocating different Channels to same radio in a node.
Scheduling the whole thing.....

Try to read src/devices/mesh/mesh.h This is a short howto about new
protocol implementation. Current meshing model is based on
protocol-plug-in scheme, described in this file.
