I just tried to use the Task By Email feature. But I couldn't close
the dialog (OC and Cancel both did nothing)

I went to my profile and completed my profile name (First name and
last name were empty), and now Task by email appears to work OK.

Thank you Dave. Yes I can confirm this issue. You need to edit your
profile first. We are working on a fix.

Andrey.

Task by email works like a charm. Perfect, Andrey.

Thank you once again for the absolute best personal information manager I've ever used (I've used everything worth using going back to the Ecco Professional / Infoselect era)!

Hi there, now that email to task is available, couldn't you just send
one daily digest with the tasks that are due the day? it should be
pretty feasible, right?

Eddie, wow! I haven't thought about Ecco in like fifteen years!

Ecco ruled. It was a shame it was bought and let to languish. It was way ahead of it's time.  I have also thought of Ecco many times as I try to learn how to use MLO in the best way.

Right now Task by Email doesn't send you the tasks, you send it the tasks, often from whatever email address you want (or you can specify a list of allowed addresses).

Going the other way certainly would be doable but not really anything to do with TBE from what I can tell. I'm not sure TBE makes it any easier to develop.

Is there no way to remove a vote and move it?  Perhaps the true answer here, Andrey, is to go through UserVoice and mark "implemented" some of the stuff that is there, and then he can have his votes back :)

Ecco was ahead of it's time.  Before that i used Time & Chaos (on DOS).

Isn't this what the option in the Setup Reminder dialog does? (Properties Pane>Timing & Reminder>Reminder>Advanced>Send email to:). Never used it myself so I can't vouch whether it would serve the purpose or not.

Well, that has several drawbacks.

First mlo has to be open with Internet access. If you are traveling,
no email will be sent to you.

Most important though, if you work at a company surrounded by
firewalls, the email won't be thought to you because you won't be able
to reach your mail rely.
