Hello,

It should be very helpful that a main item on an outliner should be
set that you can not check it as done!! Al sub items of course should
be checkable. But In my case the main items are the subject of work
that I do and there for not an item which can be checked, It's only
done when all sub items are checked. That can be making visible by
color change. But at this moment on my PDA some times I check an item
while I mean to open the sub items via the though screen.

So I hope many of you support this!!

regards,

PW

Big-big +1!!!

I also separate tasks like that. And the item, which is the topmost in
this hierarchy, is neither a project nor a task. It just serves as a
"folder".

Very nice idea!

I don't know if PPC version is the same as PC but on the PC you can
"Hide only this task in To-Do". Tag it as a project, and encode the
project name. This may be a work around to get you going for now.

Example:

Outline:
Project ABC
Subtask1
Subtask2

To-Do View:
[Project ABC] - Subtask1
[Project ABC] - Subtask2

I should have added this to my top five list, but since I only added 4
feature requests, I suppose I can add the last item here and bump this
thread.
Although I have a current workaround (all CAPS, make it a project,
then Hide Only That Item) it would be invaluable as an entity type to
make a folder object.

A companion divider of sorts (without a check box) would have a good
deal of value as well, give me some options to clean up, clarify the
contents.

I agree with this idea. +1 for no checkbox on Top Level Parent.

todoist.com implements this very nicely (you type an asterisk before
the task). Perhaps this is an alternative approach to implementing it
in MLO (as opposed to a parameter setting). Ditto for links and rich
text.

Big +1 for me too - my top level "task" is really just a folder so I
have to hide it in my to do list.
