I love the way that MLO doesn´t make a distinction between projects,
tasks or folders (like in OF) but i don´t see why there shouldn´t be a
function to make an entry uncheckable (removing the checkbox in front
of it).

I find it confusing that entries as <Inbox> and <Projects> can be
checked off as complete when they are neither projects or tasks but
just organization folders. So just like you can mark an entry
"project", it would make sense if there was a checkbox to mark entries
"uncheckable", as something which cannot be completed. This could also
be useful for people stores reference-like material in MLO.. stuff
that cannot be completed.

+1

This would be a really useful feature for me, combining it with the
"Hide only this task in To-Do" Function, you could have conceptual
hierarchies in your Outline, (or not for recurring tasks)

yes I agree that this feature would be useful. I just need to decide
how it should be combined with hide in todo

A great example of what you're talking about is in Natara's Bonzai
product. You can create a several "task" types: Simple, ToDo's, and
Tasks. Simple items just have a dash in front of them and don't have
dates or completion status. ToDo's have a checkbox in front of them,
have dates (start, due, completed) and a Done/Not Done status. Tasks
have a percent complete bar in front of them, have dates and a percent
complete status. Works really nice and would tie in well with MLO's
Projects and Task ToDo visibility concepts.

You can see a screen shot in their online documentation here:
http://www.natara.com/Bonsai/UserManual/index.html

I would love to see this functionality in MLO....and a Calendar ;-)

Todoist does this nicely too. Just starting a task with a
"*" (asterisk) removes the checkbox.
