Just installed v3 on my HP iPAQ. It runs so slowly, I keep thinking
it has hung, but it takes about 30-60 seconds to do anything. Even
starting up the menus take upto 30 seconds to load on the screen.
Other applications seem to still be running alright, and the older
version 2.5.1 ran fine. Any ideas what is happening?

It works fine here. We will run additional check and will let you
know.

Just to confirm:
1) Did you try to recreate new data file in MLO-PPC v3
2) Do you have logging enabled in MLO-PPC which may affect the
performance?

Audrey,

Tried turning auto update off that does seem to speed things up a bit,
but still takes time to load menus etc when switching between programs
or functions. Is that what you mean by logging?

Creating a new file or using an old one does not seem to make any
difference.

Thanks

Andy,

Where is the "auto update" option in MLO PPC?

On the to-do screen it is under the "more" button on the bottom right
of the screen. It is not available under contexts

Could you please try if the issue has gone in this version:

Thanks,

Hi Oleg, just downloaded the file, it seems to make a big difference.
Even with the auto update on it is only taking a second now to
refresh. This certainly makes the program useable. Thanks for your
quick response with this update

Hello Oleg,

As you're the developer maybe you have an answer to the question I asked a couple of days ago?

Is it possible to set the hardware enter button to toggle a task's completed status?  I use MLO on my mobile phone and in the ToDo screen I can scroll up and down the list with the up down buttons but clicking enter takes me into the details.

This forces me to drag the stylus out and click with both hands which isn't always convenient in many situations.

Hi Jon,

I foresee a lot of requests shortly after this is implemented asking
to remove the feature because of accidental completions of to-do items
while the device is in a pocket :)

There is an alternative approach to completing a task without using a
stylus. Press and hold the Entrer button and use "Toggle task" from a
context menu.

Thanks,
Oleg

Fair enough.

This works and fit my criteria of "a fix or workaround". Except the
context menu behaves extremely weirdly. When I move up and down the
context menu, the highlight doesn't disappear from the previously
highlighted options. Is this a known issue by any chance?

Thanks again for the workaround suggestion!

I would love to have a HW button assigned to completing tasks!

I dont know about other devices, but there is no chance with it to
complete tasks accidentaly in my pocket..
