I use TB 2.0.0.14 (20080421) connected to Gmail IMAP.

About 100 times a day Thunderbird will randomly pop up the "Mail Server
Password Required" box. My password is typed in but the check box must
be rechecked to remember my password. If I do not check the box again,
I will have to retype my password the next time the box pops up.

I think it should remember that I want it to save my password. Also, if
I choose to save my password, why does it keep prompting me? It has
connected successfully thousands of times but now thinks my password is
incorrect.

So I am constantly checking the "Remember Password" check box and
hitting "OK", for each of my accounts. Very irritating.

Same here. I'm looking and looking and looking, but PLEASE let me
know if you find an answer to this.

I have about 4 Google Apps for Your Domain email addresses + 1 vanilla
Gmail address that are checked via IMAP with Thunderbird, and this
only happens on ONE of the accounts. I've recreated it numerous
times, but to no avail.

Same thing has been happening to me for a few months now. It's about
to drive me crazy... I've got three different gmail accounts and they
all do it. I'm running 2.0.0.14

I have 2 Gmail addresses and 3 Google apps addresses and this happens
up to 10 times a day among all of them.

This is a major annoyance.

No resolution as of yet...

Thunderbird has updated itself a couple of times but nobody has
responded with any solutions or encouragement on this thread...

Just wanted to reply this is also happening to me. TB 2.0.0.18 on OS
X.

Any resolutions?

I have the same problem. I switched to imap two days ago and I got the
message "Enter your password..." about 20 times. My thunderbird was
just updated to 2.0.0.18. Any solution yet?
