I am trying to develop an extension for firefox that will function much
like international domain names function. The user inputs some URL.
Firefox translates that URL to a properly formated DNS request and then
displays that page to the user.

Can anyone tell me how to hook into Firefox - using an extension - to
'translate' the domain a user inputs?
Any help would be appreciated.
