The log file shows a "no space left on device" error when trying to link
the final executable.

Ah. So IIUC, the possible choices are:
- search the filesystem for unneeded files and delete or archive them
- add a hard disk, and move all or part of the concerned filesystem there
- move that tinderbox to a different machine with more empty disk space.

I suppose any of them would require human (admin) intervention, plus a
non-negligible amount of time and/or money.

Thanks for the info. I guess I should have checked the logs. :-/

The build engineers know of the problem, they'll be using this solution
(probably Monday).

The tinderbox is a virtual machine, so you can easily allocate more
space to it (assuming the host has some available).
