its written in a tutorial form and it appears to be using v1.2. I highly recommend that you read about the process. If there is something you need the code should make more sense. There is an example towards the bottom.

I can't find the link but someone had put together a little tutorial
assisting on changing code from 1.11 to 1.2
You've identified the issues all ready - just link them up from the
old docs to the new docs and you'll have it set up! Or you'll find
another piece of broken code that would need to be fixed.
Trust me, it's better to fix it yourself because sometimes no one will
be around to help (unless I get bored and do it first...)
