Anybody have or know of a carousel script that works with Mootools1.2?

I really like iCarousel but it doesn't work with the latest mootools.
http://zendold.lojcomm.com.br/icarousel/

iCarousel uses item.effect and container.effects (lines 80, 117,
etc.), indeed implemented in the old MooTools.

These lines cause errors with v1.2 of MooTools.

Anybody know how to fix it?

You should also check out Fx.Marquee in the cnet library:

Thanks, but what we are looking for is a horizintal image carousel,
much like:
http://zendold.lojcomm.com.br/icarousel/example3.asp
But this doesn't work with MT1.2, as it uses things like item.effect
and container.effects (lines 80, 117,
etc.).

Thanks for those links.

What we are looking for is more of a horizontal image scroller/
carousel.
Much like:
http://zendold.lojcomm.com.br/icarousel/example3.asp

This is perfect except that it doesn't work for MT1.2, it uses
item.effect and container.effects (lines 80, 117, etc.).

This is in relation to:
http://groups.google.com/group/mootools-users/browse_thread/thread/e65945bdffd1a571#

I can't seem to reply to this thread, my posts are not appearing. I
really don't get it.

What we ar elooking for is a Mootools1.2 compatible horizontal image
scroller such as:
http://zendold.lojcomm.com.br/icarousel/example3.asp

However this scroller does not seem to work with 1.2, otherwise it
would have been perfect.

It uses item.effect and container.effects (lines 80, 117, etc.).

If anybody has a fix for this carousel or knows something very similar
we would love to know,

Thanks much.

Sorry if this comes off as rude, but it sounds like you need to learn
mootools 1.2 and change the script yourself instead of waiting for
someone else to do the job for you.

I can't find the link but someone had put together a little tutorial
assisting on changing code from 1.11 to 1.2

You've identified the issues all ready - just link them up from the
old docs to the new docs and you'll have it set up! Or you'll find
another piece of broken code that would need to be fixed.

Trust me, it's better to fix it yourself because sometimes no one will
be around to help (unless I get bored and do it first...)

http://www.webdevlounge.com/javascript/creating-a-carousel-with-mootools/

its written in a tutorial form and it appears to be using v1.2. I highly recommend that you read about the process. If there is something you need the code should make more sense. There is an example towards the bottom.

Hope this helps.

This does exactly what you're looking for, I think:

demo:

(be sure to click "execute code")
