SCIENTIFIC COUP FOR PHONE MAST OPPONENT

11:00 - 21 February 2008 A westcountry scientist known for his opposition to mobile phone masts has achieved international recognition for his groundbreaking research in another field. Dr Grahame Blackwell, of Manaton, Devon, has had his scientific findings published in the renowned Journal of the Scientific and Medical Network (SMN). Rather than warning about masts, his work on the nature of matter and properties of light have brought him to international attention. His view is that every material object in the universe is actually made of light. The SMN is a body of several thousand scientists, philosophers and medical practitioners from over 35 countries, including Fellows of the Royal Society, at least one Nobel Prize-winning physicist and about 100 university professors. Dr Blackwell said "I'm very glad to have this discovery published in the journal of such a prestigious forward-thinking group. It's important to be as well informed as possible about the true nature of things. "That's the only way we're going to make the technological breakthroughs we need at this time, or understand and respect the incredible interconnectedness of everything." Dr Blackwell has previously fought plans for mobile phone masts on Dartmoor. His long-term aim is for a radical new view of physics that could bring real benefits in telecommunications and other areas. He is presenting a series of illustrated talks on his work, starting in Totnes on March 9. Other venues include Ashburton and Chagford. For details visit www.transfinitemind.com
