Hi all,

We are currently trying to install Mobicents 1.3 on top of Jboss
Enterprise 5. I am searching for the installation guide for a while
now but I could not find a clear instruction on how do this. I have
tried the followings:

1) Download mss1.3 package that bundles with Jboss community 5.
2) Download and install the Jboss enterprise 5
3) Set JBOSS_HOME to the location of Jboss enterprise 5 installed in
2)
3) Copy all the SIP WAR/sar/xml files mentioned in section 2.1 of
(http://www.mobicents.org/user_guides/sip_servlets/index.html#sssicar-
SIP_Servlets_Server-Installing_Configuring_and_Running)
4) Deploy our SIP application

However, Jboss complained that it could not find the SIP connector.
Then I tried to install the mobicents from source using the
instruction provided at http://www.mobicents.org/installation-jboss.html.
However, I could not compile the code. It seems that the code obtained
using this command:

svn checkout http://mobicents.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/servers
mobicents

is not up-to-date. So my questions are:

1) Do we really need to build mobicents 1.3 from the source if we want
to use it with Jboss Enterprise 5.0 ?
2) If so, how could we get the mobicents 1.3 source code from the CVS
and what is the correct steps to build the mobicents ?
3) If not, where could I find clear instructions on how to install the
mobicents on Jboss Enterprise 5.0 using the binary package ?

Many thanks !

Hi,

Are you aware that Red Hat provides a product based on Mobicents called JBoss Communications Platform, on which it sells subscriptions, training consulting etc ?
The next version of it called JBCP 5 BETA 2 is going to ship with EAP 5 and MSS 1.3, if you're interested you can shoot me an email in private.

Hi Jean, Thanks for your prompt response. I have informed our manager
about it.
