Hi,

Some more news from the wonderful world of Mnemosyne 2.0:

-the revision history is now stored inside an SQL database too. This is a
prerequisite for when implementing the sync algorithm, and will also allow to
display more sophisticated statistics.
-when importing a sound or an image, a copy is made to the .mnemosyne
directory. This saves some confusing explaining to new users about the
difference between relative and absolute paths.
-card types can now be stored in the database too
(The three feature above mean that all the prerequisites are there in order
for Max to implement a full syncing algorithm.
-merged Mike's graphical statistics code.
-extended the plugin architecture to encompass the statistics
-removed some old warts/hacks inherited from the 1.x codebase: card.unseen and
StartDate
-added option "learn new related cards in same session"
-warn if the user memorises over 15 new cards in a session.
-various architectural improvements and bug fixes

I'll spend the next few days on some unglamourous bugfixes, and then next week
I'll be on holiday.

Cheers,

Peter

I'm really impressed with the growth of this tool over the years.
To all those involved in the development, congratulations.
Also a big thanks to the community that keeps growing and contributing
priceless information.

Something I would really like to see is being able to flag certain
cards while you review, and later go back and practice these cards to
death. I'm interested in this because of the stroke order of the
characters etc. and trying to write these over and over. This would
be very helpful for me. I can see this use for other types of
studying as well.
