Have you considered using a custom toolbar instead? This will have the added
advantage of not risking the document corruption sometimes reported with
placement of ActiveX controls in a document.
The following web page tells (among other things) how to assign a macro to a
toolbar button.

This will allow you to not print the macrobutton. Then when printing
turn off the option to print hidden text.
However, this assumes that you do not have other hidden text that you
do want to print.
Personally I would put the button on a toolbar or even replace the
filePrint and/or FilePrintDefault routine for the document's template.
