HP 2500 prob solv'd via Windows Update

History: I have an XP-equipped Toshiba laptop that only
prints garbled pages to an HP 2500 inkjet, whether local
or via the network, that prints perfectly from 98SE and
2k.

Today, I did my usual weekend check of
windowsupdate.microsoft.com and found an update for GDI+
functions, which I downloaded and immediately after the
reboot, I tested the printer again and (so far) my
problem seems to have been solved. I've printed text
documents and full page graphics without problems.

Yee-Haw!!!

Therefore, I suggest those with various garbled prints or
incomplete pages consider checking into this update.

My HP 5si problem remains -- multiple pages are printed
combined on one page. Has anyone solved this problem?
