No response after clicking on the links

Lately when I click on certain links and have no response, but when using
other PC I have no problem going to the no responsive links (sites).
Thanks for any help to solve this problem.

Oh, they're secret links. Since only certain links don't work, maybe they
aren't URL links at all. Or maybe those "certain" sites no longer exist and
were taken over by domain squatters whose server isn't responsive. Or they
are for extremely busy but underpowered sites that are extremely slow to
respond. Or they are blocked by your ad-blocker, firewall, DNS content
filtering, or other censoring software or maybe are listed in the hosts
file.

Which means what? The web browser doesn't open? The web browser does open
but not to the page for the link? The web browser opens but says it cannot
find the site? The web browser opens but times out waiting for a response
from those secret "certain links"? The web browser never opens but instead
some error message appears? You click the link and your computer unplugs
itself, pulls up its skirt, and runs down to the basement to cower behind
the water heater?

And that was supposed to tell us what? That this other PC is setup
differently, perhaps by someone other than you? That it is on the same
intranetwork to show you have Internet connectivity from the same location
as the problematic PC (i.e., both PCs go through the same network devices at
your home)?

despite after re-installed java script software and also the updates, they
remain no response.
However, when I use other PC of same WinXP_Home & IE6 with same java
software, I have no problems to enter these links.

I did uninstalled JAVA, cleared all history & cookies, temporary files and
re-installed JAVA2 Runtime and JAVA (TM)6 Update17, also re-installed IE6,
but still can't get the javacsript shortcuts (links) to open.
When I use another PC of same O/S & IE6 with similar JAVA via same ISP
networks, no problem to enter the same javascript shortcuts (links).
Any help?

Without using the words "all" or "some", please provide specific
examples of things on the MS update site that do not work.
How did you reinstall IE6?
