Read my post below from yesterday ( HELP! Windows XP and dial-up modem ) for
my initial problem.

Basically, I am able to dial out to my OSP, but just after the verifying
username and password dialog, I get cut off with a 'can't establish
connection' message.

After speaking to my ISP (BT Openworld) it transpires that my modem is set
on V.92, and BTO only supports V.90. I have to switch the modem into V.90
mode, but I can't see how to do this, and the software supplied with the
modem makes no mention of it.

The modem is a Conexant PCI Modem V.90/V.92.

I looked at the Conexant site, but can't seem to find any info on switching
the modem to V.90. I presume some AT commands are needed? Modems are not
my area of expertise, so I could do with all the help I can get!

Mike.

For a Conexant modem AT+MS=V90 should do it

However this feels like a red herring, I have a V92 modem and it works fine
with any ISP's as all V92's automatically switch to V90 mode.....
