I used to have an Aquarium Screensaver on my pc but now it's no longer in my
drop down menu. I've tried to find it on the MS WinXP download site, to no
avail. Can anyone please tell me how I might download it again?

you should go "green"
and save energy and
increase the lifespan
of your monitor by
using the sleep power
mode for your monitor
when your system is
idling.

I've found it. It seems it was part of Windows Digital Media Enhancements
wich I obtained using Addor Remove Programs/add remove Windows Components.

I don't know how much electricity or monitor life you save. My 17" LCD
monitor seems as good as it ever was when I bought it in 2002. I use a
black "Marquee" screensaver with a moving title.

This is part of the same problem with the XP theme disappearing that I &
hairysam (post below you) have had. I too had all my MS Plus themes removed
mysteriously, (aquarium was part of it). Anyone know why or how to prevent
it from happening again. I'm guessing the solution might be to stop the MS
Updates?

the unfortunate truth
is that most don't believe
how much of a difference
it can make -
so no one will try.

on the other hand if
most believed that ever
little bit helps, then it
would make a big
difference -
so everyone should try.

The Aquarium screensaver was part of the "Plus" package that came with the
Windows Media Edition version of XP pro.
You cannot download it for free. It has also been discontinued as a "for
sale" product.

Did you just reply to a July 2008 (yes - it is *almost* March 2010)
conversation...?

Doesn't seem as "impactful" if your comeback is that late. ;-)

In case - somehow - you don't see its age:
http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.windowsxp.help_and_support/browse_frm/thread/478aba4fb205f75e/
(That's archived in its complete state... Also good so someone else might
be able to tell what db was replying to, other responses, the date, etc.)

Enjoy!
